Beverly Ann Roethlisberger (née McComb), age 91, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025, in DeKalb, Illinois.

Born on March 14, 1934, in Aurora, Illinois, Beverly lived a long and meaningful life marked by strength, love, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Beverly was the beloved mother of five sons. She is survived by Douglas (Margo) Roethlisberger of Sugar Grove, IL; William (Brenda) Roethlisberger of Ocala, FL; and Mel (Nancy) Roethlisberger of Sycamore, IL.

She was preceded in death by two sons: Michael Roethlisberger (2018) of DeKalb, IL and Jeffrey Roethlisberger (1995) of Aurora, IL.

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Allison (Patrick) Barry of Hinckley, IL; Colin Roethlisberger of Sugar Grove, IL; Jason (Angie) Gillette of Pueblo West, CO; Jeremy Lewis of Ottawa, IL; Joshua (Stephanie) Roethlisberger of Mechanicsburg, PA; Shawn Roethlisberger of Ely, MN; and Kathryn (Jacob) Beyren of Sycamore, IL. Beverly also leaves behind eight great-grandchildren—Emersen, Emmett, Emery, Cheyenne, Logan, Penny Lane, George, and Elrik—and two great-great-grandchildren who will grow up hearing stories about her enduring spirit.

She was preceded in death by her grandson Jason Roethlisberger in 2018.

Beverly's family circle extended far beyond immediate relatives. She held a special place in her heart for many nieces and nephews who brought joy to her life. Among them were Robert Moore, Donna Bowery, Robin Taitague, Heather Hazard, Kellen Catt, Dawn (Joseph) Kiefer-Graham, and Julie (Jake) Schule. Each shared a unique bond with Beverly that reflected the warmth and generosity she offered so freely.

The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Sue Gulke—a dear friend and devoted caretaker whose presence brought comfort and companionship to Beverly in her later years. And a very special neighbor and friend Michelle.

Beverly was known for her generous heart and resilient spirit. A woman of deep faith and boundless acceptance, she faced life's challenges with courage and humor. Her love for her family was fierce and unconditional—a guiding light that shaped generations.

She was preceded in death by her mother Marion L. Nowodzelski  (2004) in Port Charlotte, FL; father Mathew McCombs (1990) in Aurora, IL. 2 sisters; Phyllis M. Moore (1979) in Oswego, IL and Jeanette Dano- Garvey (2010) in Punta Gorda, FL.

In accordance with Beverly's wishes, cremation will take place. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date to honor the remarkable woman she was.
