Betty Richardson, age 86, of Sycamore, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025.

Born in Belgreen, Alabama on February 5, 1939, she was the beloved daughter of Lois E. Pierce and Rader O. (Wilson) Pierce.
On December 2, 1967, Betty married the love of her life, Donald L. Richardson, at Sycamore Methodist Church, where she remained a devoted member throughout her life. Don was a widower and father of three, and Betty lovingly embraced his children as part of her own family. In time, Betty became a devoted grandmother to all of their children, cherishing each of them deeply. Her home became a place filled with warmth and memories for everyone she loved. Betty also proudly participated in the Eastern Star and the White Shrine, forming lifelong friendships through her service and fellowship. She especially enjoyed taking her family to the pancake breakfasts. Betty enjoyed her get-togethers with friends for their Red Hat Lady group after retirement. Although Betty remained in Illinois after marrying, she was incredibly close with her siblings. They loved sending pictures of their grandchildren and sharing stories.

Betty dedicated more than 28 years of her career to Duplex Products, holding a variety of positions and earning the respect and admiration of her colleagues.

She is survived by her three children: Lori (Michael) Fleetwood, Lynn (Jay) Montgomery, and Jeff Richardson (Christie Kalina). She was a cherished grandmother to seven grandchildren: Carolyn (Tim) Beckett, Brian Fleetwood, Michelle (Joe Grant) Fleetwood, Grant (Samantha) Montgomery, Jordan (Carolyn) Montgomery, Andrew Montgomery, and Taylor (Andrew) Klein. Betty also leaves behind 11 great-grandchildren, who affectionately called her GG, and brought her immense pride and joy. One of her favorite things to do was bring them little trinkets and sneak them handfuls of M&M's.

Betty is further survived by her brothers, Bill and Vollie, and her sisters, Norma Jean, Peggy, Edith, and Ernestine.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Don, her parents, and her sister Jackie.

A private graveside service for family will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025.

A celebration of life honoring Betty will be held in June, where friends and extended family can gather to remember her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for her family.
