Betty Lou Finn, 87, of Sycamore, IL died December 9, 2023 at her home.

She was born on June 21, 1936 in Tecumseh, NE to Chester and Ella (Mueller) Myers.  She married Donald J. Finn on August 21, 1953.

Betty Lou grew up in South San Gabriel, CA.  She attended schools in Monterey Park and Alhambra, CA, moving to Wood Dale, IL in 1970.  She worked as a travel agent and saw the world while traveling with her husband to various beautiful countries. Betty Lou was also a real estate agent and hospice worker.  She served on the RCD of Ogle County and volunteered at the DeKalb County Farm Bureau.

Betty Lou enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking and making stained glass items.  She will be truly missed by her loving family and dear friends.

Survivors include her son, Jeffrey (Teresa) Finn; two grandchildren, Justin (Miranda) Finn and Nicholas Finn; five great grandchildren, Noah, Xander, Avaya, Milani and Aries; her sister, Shirley (Rick) Castellanos; one nephew, Richard (Jumarie) Castellanos and she loved her little dog, Bandit.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; her granddaughter, Shannon Finn; and one sister, Donna Jean Martin.

Her memorial service will be on Monday, December 18th at 1:00 PM at the Fellowship Baptist Church, 2425 Bethany Road, Sycamore, IL., with Rev. Kevin Spears officiating.  Immediately following the service, the burial will take place at the Mayfield Twp. Cemetery, 28405 Church Road, Sycamore, IL. 60178.
