Obituary

Betty L. Albrecht went to the "farm" in Wisconsin on March 12, 2024.

She was born in Bluford, IL, on December 14, 1935, to Archie and Louise (Howell) Donoho.  The family moved to Dixon when she was two years old.

She married Wayne Albrecht in Dixon on December 21, 1957, and had two children; Mitch (Lisa Wallace) of Lexington, KY and Michelle (Mark Schermerhorn) of Western Springs, IL.

Betty retired from NIU Department of Registration and Records.  She was a past member of NIU Women's Club (Bridge) and Kishwaukee Hospital Auxiliary.  She was also a long time member of Kishwaukee Valley Art League (Betty loved watercolor) and Unitarian Universalist Church in DeKalb, IL.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne; her children; many sisters and brothers in law; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Donna and Sharon Kaye; and brothers, Archie (Sonny) and Jerry.

There will be no service, cremation has occurred, entrusted through Butala Funeral Homes and Crematory of Sycamore.

Memorials can be made to the Unitarian Universalist Church, Hospice, or the Tails Humane Society, in care of the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL 60178.
