Beth A.
Lamoureux
Dec 1, 1961 — Dec 4, 2023
Beth A. Lamoureux, 62, of Sycamore died December 4, 2023 peacefully at her home embraced by her children and family.
She was born on December 1, 1961 in Chicago to Franklin and Rosemary (McIntyre) Pater. She married the love of her life Timothy Lamoureux, Sr. on June 23, 1990.
Beth occupied teaching roles throughout her lifetime. Between religious education, public schooling, and homeschooling, she enjoyed sharing sage advice with the community– professionally viewing others as her own children. She would joke that she never quite made it past high school thanks to her extended placement at Dekalb High School. Her humor, wisdom, and adaptability enabled her to be a rockstar substitute teacher who could walk her walk and talk her talk into any class with ease.
She cared about helping others by accompanying her husband Tim Sr., truly through sickness and in health, and by supporting their children, Claire and Tim. She attended her children's theatre and dance performances, traveling baseball games, and cross country meets. In her pastime Beth enjoyed having fun. She would play games and solve puzzles. Some of her favorites were crossword puzzles, spot the difference, sudoku, solitaire, cribbage, 500 rummy, backgammon and more. While she was young she enjoyed adventuring to her family's cabin near Paw Paw lake in Watervliet, Michigan. Ripe, juicy, Michigan fruit from roadside stands painted vivid memories for her to share with loved ones, later taking her own family to experience this alongside her. Beth would go camping, boating, and waterskiing with her family and friends on different rivers such as the Fox, Illinois, and Mississippi.
She is survived by her children, Claire and Tim; as well as her siblings, Frank, Roney, Joyce, Chris, Carol, and Ed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Rosemary Pater, her sister Cathy, and her beloved husband Tim.
Her visitation will be on Friday, December 15th from 10:30 -11:30 AM at the Church of St. Mary's, 244 Waterman St. Sycamore, IL. Her funeral mass will begin at 11:30 AM with Fr. William Etheredge officiating.
