Bartel (Bart) E. Desch, 58, of Sycamore died on November 6, 2023 at his home.

He was born on August 24, 1965 in San Francisco, CA. to Timothy and Nellie (Knapke) Desch.

Bart graduated from Western Illinois University 1989.

Bart was the Superintendent of Recreation, at the Sycamore Park District from 2010 - 2015. He was the program supervisor, of the Sycamore Park District from 2003 - 2010. He was the facility manager, at the Pleasant Dale Park District from 2000 - 2002. Bart was the recreation coordinator, of the Joliet Park District from 1995 - 2000. And also the recreation supervisor, of the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District from 1995 - 2000.

His hobbies included being on the Sycamore Pumpkinfest committee from 2007 - 2022. Pay it Forward House fundraiser chairperson and Volunteer from 2007 - 2023. He was an Illinois National Guardsman from 1985-1990.

Bart was an avid softball and volleyball player.

Survivors include his brother, Richard Desch; and sister, Pam Kraus.

His service and burial will be private.
