Anna Lee Fischer, nee Prater, 83, of Sycamore, IL, born October 5, 1939, in Belleville, IL, died Thursday, February 2, 2023 at her home in Sycamore, IL.

Anna Lee spent the first 62 years of her life in Millstadt, IL where she married her husband, Stanley, on June 20, 1959. Anna Lee was an active member of Zion Evangelical Church. She was a member of the Millstadt Civic Club and a volunteer for years at the Millstadt Library. She taught 3 ^rd grade at Millstadt Consolidated School and 5 ^th grade at St. James Catholic School for a total of 22 years. In between her two teaching careers, she owned and operated the Village Gift and Floral Shop in Millstadt. Anna Lee enjoyed flower arranging, stitching, sewing, reading, swimming, boating, and especially spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Anna Lee and Stanley, moved to northern Illinois in 2001 and spent Anna Lee's remaining years in Huntley and Sycamore, IL where they made many new friends and enjoyed their retirement years.

Anna Lee's kindness and generosity shown brightly in her hospitality and love toward others. She often hosted friends and family in her home for delicious meals, a game of cards, and warm conversations. She was loved by many and brought much joy to those who knew her.

Surviving are her loving husband, Stanley; her son, David (Wendy) Fischer of Columbia, IL; her daughter, LeAnn (Mark) Harbaugh of St. Charles, IL, along with her 7 grandchildren Grace, David Jr., and Glorie Fischer and Zachary (Danielle) Harbaugh, Logan, Lily, and Audrey Harbaugh; her sister, Charlotte Muskopf; her sisters-in-law, Dorothy Germann and Rita Fischer; and brother-in-law, Kenneth Harres. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.

Anna Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Velma (Zentgraf) Prater; her in-laws Edwin and Amy (Weible) Fischer/Bangert; her sister-in-law, Virginia Harres; and brothers-in-law Robert Muskopf, Lester Germann, and Nelson Fischer.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023, at 11:00 am at Christ Community Church in DeKalb, IL with a luncheon to follow the service.

An additional memorial service will be held on Saturday,  March 11, 2023, at 11:00 am at Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, IL with a luncheon to follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to either Christ Community Church in DeKalb, IL or Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, IL.
