GENOA – Amy Walker, 52, died peacefully in her home on November 11, 2022 after a battle with brain cancer.
Born March 24, 1970, in Elgin, she primarily grew up in Oswego, Il and later attended WIU, where she met her future husband, Todd Walker. She and Todd married on August 7
th
, 1993, and had three children: Tyler of DeKalb, IL; Andrew of Laramie, Wy; and Lauren of Genoa, IL. Parents Donald and Ruth Plauck of Sugar Grove, Brothers: Darryl Plauck (Kara) of Campbell CA, Denny (Lori) Plauck of Pingree Grove, Dave Plauck of Houston, TX, Peter (Cathy) Plauck of Sycamore and Andrew (Jodi) Plauck of McHenry.
Amy was a stay at home mom and enjoyed raising her children. She later went to work for the Genoa Kingston School District working with preschool students.
Amy enjoyed running both as a hobby and competitively. She spent her summers traveling out west hiking different National Parks. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Her children were her everything!
The family would like to thank everyone who assisted and supported Amy in her time of need. Amy and her family appreciated your kindness and compassion that was demonstrated.

Funeral Home, 132 W. Main St. in Genoa.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 18th at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, 26555 Brickville Rd, Sycamore, IL 60178, with Rev. Mumme officiating. A visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the church.
A luncheon will follow the service at St. John's Lutheran Church.
