On Monday December 26, 2022, Alice Jean Paulson passed away at the age of 97.

She was born on October 25, 1925 to Earl and Alma Storm.  Growing up on a farm, she had many experiences typical of life in the country.  These experiences were fascinating to her great grandchildren.

Alice married John Paulson on March 16, 1947 in Genoa at the Methodist Church.  She was a member of numerous clubs, including the DeKalb County Home Extension and the Trinity Lutheran Ladies Aide, while raising her two children and supporting her husband in his farming operation.  She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great cook.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband John, her parents, brother, many relatives and friends.

She is survived by her children, Jean Ann Shoemaker of Bradonton, FL and Michael (Madelyn) Paulson of Garden Prairie; 4 grandchildren, Rebecca (Mike) Myers of Chicago, Joseph (Sara) Paulson, Andrew (Sarah) Paulson of Sycamore and Melanie (Michael) Griffin of Tampa, FL.; 6 great grandchildren, Kate Myers, Claire, Greta, Adyson and Jack Paulson and Maverick Griffin.

Her visitation will be on Friday, December 30 from 10:00-11:00 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church, 33930 North State Rd., Genoa, IL., with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM, with Rev. William Gauger officiating.  Burial will be at the Genoa Cemetery.  Luncheon to follow the burial, at the church.
