Albert Lee Isby of DeKalb, IL departed this earthly life on May 10, 2026.

He was born March 7, 1956 in Chicago, IL.  The son of Ernest Lee and Willie Lee Isby.  Albert lived in DeKalb, IL; 9 years coming from Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

He was employed in sanitation by River City Management, five years before retiring.

Albert was a veteran of U.S. Marines.  He attended CVS High School and attended Malcolm X College and Kishwaukee College.

Albert leaves to cherish many memories; his son, Antonio Isby (Carolyn Vessel); three sisters, Marqueta (Anthony) Isby-Davis, Zina Jones and Sylvia Kelly; three brothers, Anthony Isby, Vincent (Wanda) Isby and Sterling (Becky) Isby; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Earnestine Isby and Rhonda Bomar and brother, Stanley (Valerie) Isby.

His Celebration of Life Memorial will be on Sunday, June 14th from 1:00 PM-3:00 PM at the Butala Funeral Home, 1405 DeKalb Ave., Sycamore, IL.

Military Honors will begin at 1:30 PM.  Followed by the Memorial Service with Pastor John Burch officiating.

A Repast will take place after the service at 722 N. 9th Street, DeKalb, IL.
