Ada Lynnette Alsup – a beautiful life, beautifully lived (1943-2025)
Her family honors the beautiful life of Ada Lynn Alsup, loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, who peacefully passed away in her home on May 16, 2025, warmly surrounded by her husband and niece.
She was 82 years old.
Lynn of Genoa, IL married the love of her life, Burton P. Alsup of Kingston, IL. They married in 1962, that launched a beautiful relationship lasting 63 wonderful years.
Together, they built a family in Kingston, IL raising their 2 sons, Curtis P. Alsup and Craig A. Alsup with a backyard filled with bright, beautiful flower beds, a bursting vegetable garden and home to many birds and critters.
She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, playing cards, and marbles, cooking and baking for others, and raising her 2 sons, along with loving and caring for her bird "Peepers."
Lynn brought warmth and love to every occasion. She set the example of how to live a loving fulfilling life surrounded by family and friends.
Lynn is survived by her husband, Burton Alsup; sisters, Jackie (Milton) Bennett of Genoa, IL and Caryl (Nelson) Williams of DeKalb, IL; brother, Allen (Jackie) Mason of Summerfield, FL; sister-in-law, Darleen (Doug) Mason of Kingston, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gwendolyn and Allen Mason; brothers, Frank Mason and Doug Mason; sister, Joan Bennett; and Lynn's 2 sons, Curtis P. Alsup and Craig A. Alsup.
A celebration of Lynn's life will be held Friday, May 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM. (Visit with family from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM) at Kingston United Methodist Church, 115 W. First St., Kingston, IL 60145.
